The child life profession continues to expand and meet pediatric mental health needs in psychiatric settings by providing a space for normalcy, inclusion, collaboration, and education. This abstract demonstrates the development of a child life program in a pediatric psych facility and the challenges of maintaining the unique role of a child life specialist.
