Brianna Wagner is a Certified Child Life Specialist (CCLS) with over 9 years of experience, currently employed as a Float Child Life Specialist and Volunteer Coordinator at St. Joseph’s Children’s Hospital in Tampa, FL. Brianna is also certified as an Infant Toddler Development Specialist. Prior to working at St. Joseph’s Children’s Hospital, she was working as both a CCLS and a Facility Dog Handler at Our Children’s House Children’s Health (OCH), an inpatient rehabilitation facility in Dallas, TX. During her time at OCH, she was a Practicum Student Supervisor, sat on several committees and was chair of the facility's fundraising committee. Brianna has been recognized for her contributions to “Talking to Your Children about Spinal Cord Injuries: A Practical Guide for Families” with Beyond Able, a non-profit organization committed to eliminating barriers that contribute to disability. She was also selected to present on child life services for Tampa in Scrubs, to be a part of the Resilience, Integrated Ethics, Staff Support and Engagement (RISE) team at Children’s Health and helped to create a spinal cord injury education book for patients and families. Brianna is passionate about empowering pediatric patients to understand their diagnoses and find coping mechanisms that guide them through their healthcare journey.
