Cristina has worked as a certified child life specialist for nearly 13 years in various healthcare settings. She currently works full-time in a county hospital supporting patients in various settings including burn care, inpatient rehabilitation, short stay sedation, pediatric intensive care, pediatric acute care, and adult palliative care. Cristina earned a Master of Science degree in Child Life from Loma Linda University in 2010. She has spent significant time independently studying and self-informing about trauma-informed care and has made various efforts in her role as child life specialist to improve systems and processes to reduce traumatic stress.
