Nilam Ali, MS, CCLS (she/her/hers)

Nilam has been a Child Life Specialist since 2016. She briefly worked in Neurology and on weekends providing hospital wide child life coverage before transitioning to the Emergency Department where she has been for the past 5 years. She has her B.S in Psychology and Child Development with a minor in healthcare studies and her M.S in Child Development. Nilam has been apart of the process of expanding to 24/7 child life coverage in the emergency department which has allowed for the increase of services for both medical and behavioral health patients. Nilam works closely with the hospital’s psychiatry consult service to collaborate on initiatives related to behavioral health, has provided education to staff re: developmental support for behavioral health patients in the ED and is a part of the hospital’s high risk behavior committee. In addition to her clinical role, Nilam serves a mentor to new child life specialists, is on child life department committees and is involved in student programming.
