Krista Stringer, MS, CCLS (she/her/hers)

Krista Stringer has been a child life specialist for 17 years at Children’s Health: Children’s Medical Center Dallas. She has served in various roles, including as a child life specialist, Team Leader/Education Coordinator and in her current role as Manager of the department. Krista has been engaged as a member of the Child Life Department’s DEI committee serving as a member as well as a leadership representative, helping the committee with planning and implementing various initiatives, including staff education, and playroom and hospital wide patient activities. Krista has also worked with the department’s Student Programming committee to ensure DEI is embedded in the student’s readings, written work, and clinical work/student seminars. She has also served as a member of the ACLP Pre-Internship Work Group to help evaluate the current pre-internship modules from a DEI lens. Krista is excited to co-present on this topic and share the work of the department’s DEI committee, including successes and growth.
