The current healthcare landscape has caused systems and disciplines to evaluate what is taking place and its impact on human resources. Child life is no exception to this. This presentation will be an emotionally safe space to explore the environmental culture and the role of grit and resiliency in everyday responsibilities. Ultimately, this learning environment will be the milieu to reconnect with the joy of work in child life.

Objectives:

Participants will be able to identify three factors impacting the current healthcare and child life professional landscape.
Participants will be able to reflect on their reason for choosing child life to connect with the why behind their reason for entering the field.
Participants will be able to identify their grit score
Participants will be able to analyze their grit scores.
Participants will develop two strategies to support their professional resiliency.
Participants will be able to develop one goal for action to support their ongoing connection with the why behind this work to promote sustainability in the field.
