Diane Rode is the Senior Director of Patient and Family Centered Care at Mount Sinai Children's Hospital in New York City. She was the Director of the Child Life Department at Mount Sinai for 36 years creating and coordinating Child Life and Creative Arts Therapy programming, which now reports up th her. A Licensed Creative Arts Therapist, Ms. Rode is also the Executive Producer of Mount Sinai's award winning patient video production program, Through Our Eyes Productions and is a master teacher of Clinical Supervision/REflective Practice in the Child Life profession. Ms. Rode holds a Masters Degree in Creative Arts Therapy from Pratt Institute and she is a Board Certified Child Life Specialist and Art Therapist. She has worked extensively with children in health care environments from infancy through adolescence and has published and lectured widely on art, imagination and illness throughout the United States, Rome, the UK and Brasil.
