Shannon Dier is a Certified Child Life Specialist and the current Executive Editor of ACLP Bulletin. She worked for 9 years at Cook Children's Medical Center in Fort Worth, Texas, and was an adjunct instructor for Texas Women's Universtiy. Shannon is currently completing her doctorate in Human Development and Family Science at the University of Missouri. Shannon is passionate about teaching all audiences, whether it is educating patients and families about the hospital, providing guidance to child life students as a clinical coordinator and classroom instructor, orienting hospital staff to key developmental concepts, or providing professional development opportunities to fellow child life specialists.
