Katie Foley, MA, CCLS

Child Life Specialist
Children's Health: Children's Medical Center Dallas

Katie has been a Child Life Specialist since 2012. Katie currently serves as a child life specialist at Children’s Health in Dallas working with Cystic Fibrosis and Pulmonary patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings. During her work with this population, she has worked with multiple children entering the foster care system due to medical neglect. She has collaborated with the multidisciplinary team to support patients during extended hospitalizations as they await placement in medical foster homes. Katie has served as a child life student supervisor for multiple practicum and intern students, as well as a mentor for new child life specialists and child life assistants in her child life department. Katie currently serves on the department student programming committee and clinical practice committee, as well as multiple hospital wide committees.
