Hannah has a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of North Texas and a Master's in Social Work from the University of Illinois at Chicago where she specialized in child and family services. During graduate school she worked with an agency contracted with Chicago Public Schools to provide group
therapy to children who were identified as having behavioral health issues by their school social worker. Hannah interned at La Rabida Children’s Hospital where she worked in the case management department to ensure families had outpatient services set up for post-hospitalization. Hannah obtained her social work license in 2016. Following graduate school, she completed her clinical hours with Sinai Health System in Chicago, working primarily with adults who were diagnosed with psychotic disorders, and obtained her LCSW in 2018. Hannah is currently the team lead for the mental health assessment team at Children’s Medical Center in Dallas in the emergency room. Her primary role is to complete risk assessments and determine disposition for children who present with behavioral health needs including suicidal thoughts, anxiety, behavioral changes and substance abuse. Hannah is trained in EMDR and has experience utilizing solution-focused techniques, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Dialectical BehavioralTherapy.
