Sarah Pajak Tucker has served as a certified child life specialist at The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia for the last fourteen years. With experience, in both inpatient and outpatient settings, Sarah's career has been spent working with patients and families in the Cancer Center, and Radiology Department. In addition to providing comprehensive, and complete family-centered care, through education and preparation, Sarah has helped to create and implement transformative programming for siblings, adolescent and young adult populations, caregivers, and staff. Bridging the gaps in healing, between the home and hospital, have always been a passion in the field for Sarah, and has yeilded creative works such as: AYA Cancer Chat: Life Interrupetd, a Podcast Sarah hosted alongside patients, defining what a cancer diagnosis means, and the trials and trubulations that come alongside being a yound adult with a chronic illness. In addtion, Sarah has shared presentations hospital-wide to understand the professional role of child life specialists in policy and procedure, led task forces to create new ways for teaching and learning about diagnoses/treatments, supported diversity, equity and inclusion in literature across the hospital and most recently has served as the ACLP Mentorship Program Chair for the 2022-2023 Program year. Sarah is currently in fundraising at CHOP, serving as an Annual Giving Officer for the CHOP Foundation.
