Caty McCarthy, MS, CCLS

Certified Child Life Specialist
Michigan Medicine

Caty McCarthy is a certified child life specialist with the Child and Family Life department at Michigan Medicine’s C. S. Mott Children’s Hospital. Caty is currently serving as the lead clinician for the Patient and Family Life Specialty pilot program within the Frankel Cardiovascular Center. She began her career at C. S. Mott in 2015 and later returned in November 2022, specifically to aid in the growth of the pilot program. Caty also has experience working at Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children, and Nemours Children’s Hospital, Florida. She holds a MS degree in Child Life and Family Centered Care from Wheelock College, and a BA in Psychology from Biola University.
